Combat

RC slope combat is an exciting form of radio control sailplane flying.

While the casual spectator may see an maelstrom of planes flying willy-nilly knocking each other out of the sky, one of the true purposes of Slope Combat is to encourage an improvement in the flying skills of pilots. From the ability to judge their model’s separation from the ground and its position relative to other models or obstructions while flying to learning various aerobatic maneuvers, slope combat can be a valuable learning tool for all slope pilots.

In general Slope Combat models are made or EPP (Expanded Polypropylene), a durable and bouncy type of foam. the planes can be delta flying wing style aircraft or can be modeled after real aircraft but they typically share a 48-inch wingspan and a 35 ounce maximum weight.
